Sacramento County Housing Market Trends January 2022


January 2022 is a Seller's market! The number of for-sale listings was up 17% from one year earlier and up 7.1% from the previous month. The number of sold listings decreased 6.7% year over year and decreased 29.5% month over month. The number of under-contract listings was up 9.7% compared to the previous month and up 2.7% compared to the previous year. The Months of Inventory based on Closed Sales is 0.7, up 37.6% from the previous year.


Homes For Sale in Jan 2022

The total number of properties available this month is higher by 92 units of 17%. This year's bigger inventory means that buyers who waited to buy may have a bigger selection to choose from. The number of current inventory is up 7.1% compared to the previous month.
